A few airports serve the Finger Lakes area: Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport, Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport, Syracuse Hancock International Airport, Elmira Corning Regional Airport, and Canandaigua Airport. In addition, Buffalo Niagara International Airport lies just a bit further west. The Amtrak Maple Leaf Train and Amtrak Empire Service Train have stations in Rochester and Syracuse.

Getting to the area by plane or train will have you arriving in Cayuga County via our great roads with scenic vistas. Car rentals and services such as Uber and Lyft are readily available. You can also consider tours by bus, van, or boat. Interstate 90 (aka New York State Thruway) travels through the county along with U.S. Route 20 and several state routes.
